Family Home Evening

I'm so grateful for FHE. I'm so grateful that my family always had FHE while I was growing up. It's such a blessing in my life. Today I was in a pretty sad mood about school and such but going to FHE tonight just really lifted my spirits and helped me to have a more positive outlook. Yay FHE!!

What is your favorite thing about Mondays?

My BYU Sweatband

Seriously this thing is my new best friend. I got it for participating in a pie eating contest to celebrate Pi Day. (I ate 4 pieces of pie by the way, and still came in second) Anyways this sweatband is just amazing. When I wear it I can run for more than 3 seconds straight, it keeps my hair out of my face, my ears warm, my ear buds in my ears, and at night I use it like a sleep mask so that it's really dark and I can sleep better. I'm so grateful that I have this thing. And I get compliments on it. Who Knew I could be so stylish for free?

Missionaries

First of all sorry for my slacky slackiness for the past week or something. I've been uber busy.

Anyways, yes I really am grateful for missionaries. They go out and teach the word of God to people. so that those people have a chance to hear God's plan for us. I work at the MTC too so I am always with missionaries all the time. It's fun to see how excited these young men and women get about going on a mission.

Last night my roommate Jill got her mission call. She's going to Peru, Lima!!! I thought she would rip a hole in the universe with all the energy she had. It was exciting.

I also have a lot of friends out on missions right now and I'm so proud of them for wanting to go and being so willing to serve the Lord for 2 years! Shout-out to Tom, Ethan, Scott, Jacob, Jacob, David, Jared Wes, Kyle...well and everyone else I know on a mission. Love ya! They'll probably never read this because they're on missions right now and stuff ya know.

Dove

Yes the brand. I love Dove because they're products work and they work really well. I bought their deodorant that is supposed to help you fell stubble free for longer (sorry for the details) but it really works! And bonus it smells really nice as well! Before I have also bought DOVE moisturizing body wash...and it really works well too, I barely ever needed lotion when I used that body wash. And don't even get me started on their shampoo and conditioner, I just love DOVE! Do you think it's the same company that makes the chocolate? Because that is divine too.

Dancing

I love dancing, especially on St Patrick's Day! Which was yesterday, but I was so busy dancing I didn't have time to post. Here's to hoping you got your leprechaun jig on too. I especially love dancing to my favoritist band Flogging Molly!!

Sunshine!

Oh yes the sun was shining today and I ate a hotdog for free. It reminded me of when Jenna and I went to hotdog friday's last summer. It was awesome. Also it was warm and beautiful out today, the perfect day to scope out the view from the top of the SWKT and the JFSB!

Service

I love doing service because it's a fun way to share Christ's love for everyone!

Actually I just got picked to be a program director at BYU's YServe office over the Community Clean-Up Program. I'm super excited and a little nervous! But mostly excited!

What are your thoughts on service?

The Book of Mormon

Quite frankly it's the best book ever and it's entirely true! I love it. I learn so much from it and it helps me to keep my life in perspective. Pretty much waking up in the morning knowing I get to read this book is the best. But guess what you can read it too! And you could get one for free! Just click here and scroll down you'll see a place where you can request to have a free copy of the Book of Mormon delivered to you.

Here is a good talk on the Book of Mormon by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. It's awesome!

If I can just say this, I know without a doubt in my mind that this book is true and contains true principles and doctrines from God. I know this because I have read it and prayed about it. I cannot deny the truth contained in the book.

The Plan of Happiness

I like to call it the plan of happiness but some people call it as the Plan of Salvation.

Either way it is very comforting to me to know that I can live with the ones I love for eternity.

Job

Especially in this economy I'm grateful for my job. I work at the MTC cafeteria. They pay well and the people are nice. It's also nice to know that the people you are serving are going out to serve the Lord and spread his word.

What about your Job?

School

Even though I tend to hate it a lot I am grateful for the education I am receiving here at BYU! I love learning for sure it's just a lot to learn at once sometimes. But It's totally awesome!

I'm an Earth and Space Science Education Major, and an Astronomy minor. This means I get to learn about really awesome things about the earth and universe and then turn around and teach then to students in high schools. AWESOME!!

What do you like to learn about?

Family

I'm grateful for my family. They are always there for me. I love them so much. I recently had an argument with someone and was pretty upset about it. My family was quick to respond to make me feel better. It was awesome.

Forgiveness

I'm grateful for forgiveness. Especially for that of the people who read this blog who will forgive me for not posting everyday (crazy weekend guys). :D

But mostly I'm grateful for the forgiveness we can receive when we sin. It's all made possible through the Atonement of Christ. And I am so grateful for it.

What are you Grateful for?

Oh Joy

So I just want to say how grateful I am to have The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints in my life. It's an immense blessing to know God's plan for us and to know that there is always some one there for me to talk with.

I think one of the greatest realizations I've come to because of having this Church is that I don't care who I impress or what people think of me as long as I'm keeping the commandments and doing things to make God proud. It's an awesome feeling fo' sho'.

Have you had any epiphanies lately?

Anyways, this week I had 2 tests. On in Chemistry and one in my Philosophy class.

I studied for my chemistry test a lot and still wasn't feeling very confident. But I said my prayers and I said "I've studied so much please help me to do well on this test. Please oh please oh please oh please!"

And guess what I got an 85%, 5% above the class average!!! Yes I think it's a good grade and I'm very grateful for the blessings from God I have received that help me to do well in school.

I also got an 88% on my other test. I'm pretty happy right now!

Sorry...

Ok sad day this blog has more followers than my other one and yet I never update, but this year I resolve to do better. I will start with today.

Today was great! Nothing spectacular happened but that isn't a requirement for a great day. No I think a great day happens when we look at all the little blessings we have received throughout the day. The day was ordinary but I just feel so blessed to have the opportunities I have and my health and a loving support system.

I love going to BYU and I love studying Geology! This Earth is just such an amazing place we live in and it's so beautiful too!
